Yarn dyers, 18th c.

This etching is from the Feldhaus Archive in Germany. The man to the left wrings a skein out on a dolly, while a dyer turns skeins with two sticks in a boiling vat in the right background. A sled similar to that seen in Le Teinturier Parfait lies on the ground, and skeins are prepared in the background.
